WORK EXPERIENCE

2006 Information Architect - Avenue A Razorfish, SF, CA  www.avenuea-razorfish.com

Whilst contracting at Avenue A Razorfish I worked on several MSN projects including the information design for the new Windows Live community space. My particular focus was gadgets site. Other projects included concept development for the MSN toolbar product advisor and architecting a video sharing and community site with mobile integration for Hands-On Mobile. My duties included extensive needs analyses, competitive analysis and working within presentation layer constraints to deliver a highly intuitive, user friendly experience. My deliverables included wireframes, site maps and story boards.

2006 Information Architect – Prosodie Interactive, SF

Prosodie Interactive provides e-commerce services to large clients such as Sephora and E-luxury.com. I provided information architecture consulting on 2 large e-commerce projects. My duties included competitive analyses, site maps, wireframes and interactive prototypes for the re-design. I worked closely with the client, business analysts, and the development team throughout the projects.

2005 Interaction Designer - Digitas Modem Media, SF

I contracted as a User Interaction Designer with Digitas Modem Media. I was hired as part of a team to overhaul the information/interaction design for Safeway.com. My duties involve building task flows and wireframes of the user experience.  Other projects I worked on were the conceptual development for a MS Vista product advisor and Enbrel.com.

2004-2005 Senior Interaction Designer - Jaybert International, San Ramon
Jaybert was a multimedia and it services start up based in san ramon.
My projects included design and development of the corporate website and UI design for an image management tool. I was responsible for all aspects of user interaction design from initial design proposals, wireframe mockups, photoshop comps, implementation, testing and standards documentation to promote good design practices and maintain brand consistency of our products.

2002-2004 Interaction Designer - YAGA Inc., SF www.yaga.com
I was employed as a UI designer with Yaga – an e-commerce solutions application services provider. I worked on the interface component of our application that offers subscription and payment processing for electronic content and physical goods. My duties included wireframe mockups, visual design and coding the user interface to be fully XHTML compliant.

2001 - 2002 Web Developer – SDO.NET, SF www.sdo.net
I worked on a variety of projects including both interface and backend web site development. The largest project I worked on was the architecture/coding of a Content Management System in Zope for WNYC Radio in New York.


1999-2001 Web Developer - Fortune Cookie, London UK http://www.fortune-cookie.com
I joined Fortune Cookie upon graduation. Projects included both interface and server side development. I was involved in complete project cycles from initial client meetings, information architecture and visual design through to final implementation.


1997-1999 Research Assistant to Dr. David Veale, Consultant Psychiatrist, London UK.
My duties involved the design of patient questionnaires and the collection, analysis and write up of research. I co-authored several articles that were published in leading Psychology Journals.

 


EDUCATION

Postgraduate
Middlesex University, Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts 1998-1999 MA Design for Interactive Media.

My masters degree encouraged a highly innovative approach to multimedia with considerable emphasis placed upon team work. The curriculum covered a wide range of multimedia production tools and assignments
that encouraged a creative approach to design and development.

Undergraduate
University College London 1994-1997 Psychology (Bsc Hons.) 1st Class.

My bachelors degree covered all aspects of experimental psychology and I graduated with first class honours.
